£120.00A 6-Day Outdoor Adventure! – Unplug, explore, and ignite your child’s curiosity this summer.
Join us for a magical outdoor journey through forest school, learn skills, play, and connection with nature. Our Forest School Summer Pilot is a six-session series designed to spark creativity, confidence, and resilience – all in the heart of our secret woods!
Running over three weeks, each day brings a new theme and hands-on adventure:
🪵 Week 1
Monday 28th July – Fire
Learn how to safely build, light, and respect fire in the great outdoors.
Tuesday 29th July – Cooking Outdoors
Campfire cooking fun! Prepare and enjoy delicious forest treats together.
🏕️ Week 2
Monday 4th August – Knots
Discover knot-tying skills for play, bushcraft, and shelter-building.
Tuesday 5th August – Shelters
Work together to create amazing dens and learn the art of forest hideouts.
🔨 Week 3
Monday 11th August – Tools
Safe, supported introduction to whittling, sawing, and basic bushcraft tools.
Tuesday 12th August – Woodland Craft
Let imaginations run wild crafting with natural materials and woodland treasures.

Whether you’re a seasoned forest adventurer or totally new to outdoor learning, this pilot programme is the perfect way to connect with nature, make new friends, and learn skills that last a lifetime.

Who’s Running the Sessions?
All sessions are led by Jenny, our qualified and experienced Forest School Practitioner. Jenny brings a wealth of knowledge from her years working in outdoor and educational settings. Jenny is:
- The Designated Safeguarding Lead for Piccolo’s Forest School
- Level 3 Forest School Trained
- Fully Advanced DBS checked
- Paediatric First Aid Trained
- Fully insured with professional and public liability insurance
- Passionate about outdoor learning, play, and child development
Jenny is also a well seasoned gardener and experienced natural crafter, bringing creativity and a deep respect for the natural world into every session.
Your child’s safety, wellbeing, and enjoyment are our top priorities.
⚠️ Additional Notes & Considerations
SEND Provision
If your child has additional needs and you’re unsure whether the programme would be a good fit, please get in touch before booking — we’re happy to have a chat and see what might be possible if not during our summer pilot, but certainly during our future sessions.
Whilst we aim to be as inclusive as possible, due to the small-scale nature of this pilot programme and limited staff capacity, we may not currently be able to provide appropriate support for children with complex Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) but we are happy to discuss different options for making this a possibility, so please email us at [email protected] with any questions or concerns.
Facilities On Site
Our forest site is fully off-grid and designed to immerse children in a natural, low-impact environment.
Please note:
Compost toilet facilities are available
There is no mains electricity
We do have access to clean running water
Drinking water will be provided and all hygiene needs are carefully managed using eco-friendly systems
Weather & Clothing
Sessions will go ahead in most weather conditions (except severe weather warnings), so appropriate outdoor clothing, including waterproofs and sturdy footwear, hats and sun cream is essential. A full kit list will be provided after booking.
We will stop for a lunch break at 12pm – please ensure you send your child with a packed lunch and plenty of water to drink.
